Adult Promotion On Tumblr

Hi All,

I have been seeing a lot of adult content on Tumblr.

- Does it actually work?
- How do you get Followers? its much easier to get Followers on Twitter for example.

Whats the business model here? is it for running affiliate offers or to sell ad space once you get enough followers?

Thanks!

Tumblr has grown to where it is thanks to adult content

Organic traffic guys are using it for years already, the traffic can convert from what I've heard.

The most popular strategy to get followers is reblogging stuff from others, hoping for them to return the favor ... so similar to quoting others on Twitter.

As for the business models : people are using tumblr blogs to boost their SEO, to get traffic to their sites from it or to grow the user base and sell posts later on. Some also try to run affiliate offers directly, but since tumblr doesn't allow this, they are loosing accounts often.

Twitter works well for cam models and pornstars, it's not generating much traffic if you aren't a real person with your fan club

Hi - Was wondering if there is a quick way to test tumblr?

For example is anyone using Tumblr Paid Ads to make money.
Or is everyone building up their own following and then re-directing their traffic to offers?

So Questions
1. How long does it take to build up a good following on tumblr ... enough to start making reasonable sales (and has anyone seen a documented process for this)?
2. Is Tumblr Paid Ads worth it?
3. Can you use Tumblr paid ads to quickly see whether it is worth building a presence on tumblr (e.g. see if offer X makes sales when promoted).
