[TIP] There Is World Outside of AM: Meet Indie Hackers

I discovered this site recently and I thought you will like it as well:

The site is called:

IndieHackers! https://www.indiehackers.com/businesses

As they say in their tagline: Learn from profitable businesses and side projects, these are stories from people who started they own small projects and startups, many of them are 1-man shows.

What I really like that they are showing how much each project (if its uncovered) is making in average per month and also how many employees they have:

Link to this story: https://www.indiehackers.com/businesses/nomad-list

There is also the whole story as an interview from the founders how they started and what were the main struggles.

Nice motivational reads for everyone who maybe want to start something on the side beside AM?

Enjoy!

Yeah, good reads before bed

Excellent find!

I always love to read these stories, and aspiring entrepreneurs love to read them too. This is the same approach that made Pat Flynn and his smartpassiveincome.com so popular

Thanks for the share.

Hah! Great minds think alike - I was planning to post IndieHackers on STM this week.

It's a really interesting site to read for down-to-earth case studies on tech businesses.

If you find that interesting, it's also worth looking up the talks from MicroConf, the bootstrapped software entrepreneur conference. Lots of good stuff there.

This is relevant to my interests.

Here's a couple of more resources for SaaS minded people ...

Thanks so much!!!!

DUDE...WOW!!!

Sites like this only come around once in a blue moon, and this site is absolutely AMAZING.

I love it. I spent a lot of time reading it, and went straight to the biggest case studies, such as Grasshopper, which is a company making 2.5mm/month.

Nomadlists article was also interesting to me, as I am a user of that site. $33k /month doesnt sound that exciting to me, but its great for someone who basically just wants to backpack around.

Thanks a ton Eric, this site is going to keep me occupied for at least quite a few more hours

Nomadlist is one of the best examples of a "side project" turned into a viable business.

He has a lot of great content on his own site describing his journey:

If you travel around the globe you should definitely sign up to the slack channel.

There are some similar sites to indiehackers, that might be of interest to some of you for inspiration of side projects or affiliate campaigns related to the market these projects are operating in.

www.sideprojectors.com
www.transparentstartups.com
www.gaps.com/
www.baremetrics.com/open

Some more for the SaaS minded
