I have an ecom friend that is looking into having affiliate promote his products for him.
He is really more interested in paying for sales/actions then really having affiliates, so I wanted to reach out and ask if anyone is doing Media Buys on CPA basis instead of CPM and if so, which networks are taking this offer.
I would like to help him out by sitting up these Media Buys, but want to get him CPA basis if possible.
does he have data?
He has his own data from running his own ecom store for several years and doing it with SEO and PPC and a few other sources. He is just wanting to get into affiliates ( really he wants to get into CPA as a traffic source ).
He has high margin products, but they are some what limited as the products are seasonal and limited in inventory at times ( softgoods ). None the less, I want to be able to strike some CPA basis deals with some ad networks for him before getting him into affiliates that he will have to manage if possible.
I would talk to http://www.wpromote.com/ I know some guys who have done real well with them.....not sure if they do display outside the google network....but I know they rock the google traffic rather well....and I know they have in the past worked on a CPA basis...
I've run quite a few CPA campaigns on Valueclick. However intially you need to prove you have a solid campaign.
