Is Religion Allowed on FB??
Hi All,
From your Experience, Can I promote Religion related items on FB?
EDIT: Without cloaking.
Thanks!
Disclaimer: I would ban Religion from Earth but not sure what FB thinks.

Can't say from an advertisers' perspective, but as a user, I've seen atheist targeted ads. It probably depends a lot on the items themselves and context: there's a difference between a T-shirt with a quote and items that make extraordinary claims regarding health, wealth, spirituality, etc.

Thanks!
Makes sense. I aim to stay clear from items that claim to do anything unbelievable or remarkable.
Would love to get Advertiser's take on this...

Yes, you can target religion, but you've got to be somewhat careful. Basically, don't make people feel uncomfortable. (And as always, avoid the word "you").
But using it as an interest target, for example, is AFAIK - and from experience with a few smaller campaigns using it as a targeting parameter - fine.

Thanks Carumen!
Would you say FB is broad enough when it comes to targeting options related to Religion? and Which Geos would you recommended to try?

Make sure you stay away from negative headlines, do not bash any religion, that would be asking for the ad suspension if not a ban.

I used to run Teespring on Facebook and I saw a lot of Buddhism/ Christianity related shirts campaign on Facebook. I think that shirts, books are allowed, but not spiritual-healing kind of stuffs.
