As per the STM guide I've decided to run with PPV and brand names. I've created 3 campaigns so far and the first was a direct link campaign. It did ok and had potential, but I didn't want to really push it as i wasn't sure how to measure my stats and when to pause etc...
Campaign #1
374 popups
direct link
2 conversions
Campaign #2
393 popups
46 click throughs
5 conversions
CTR 11.70%
Campaign #3
150 popups
17 click throughs
3 conversions
11.33 CTR
Traffic Source: LI
With all 3 of these camapaigns I'm bidding on brandname keywords/websites. The traffic volume is painfully low, but I've noticed that I'm getting excellent signup rates.
I'm running anywhere from 10-15 keywords per group. I've thought about targeting broad, but I don't want to kill my budget and would rather test small brandname keywords and just make 1000 campaigns eventually.
My question is if say I was bidding on brandname and brandname.com how can I increse my traffic?
I'm currently doing something like:
brandname.com
brandname
If there is no competition would it still be worth it to bid on:
brandname.c
brandname.co
randname.com
randname.co
randname.c
=brandname
randname
rand name
Would I see an increase in traffic?
What are other ways to increase traffic besides I dunno bidding on brandname products? Some of these campaigns may be restruaunts, clothing stores, targets, walmarts etc...
Other than scraping keywords what are other good ways to find keyword to test with high volume?
Doing a quick search in the google keyword tool. Typing in some of these brand names, or even the product category they are in using the seed keyword. I can't find ways to scale and continue testing.
Most search volumes are under 1k local.
Any help would be appreciated.
