Multiple conversions from the same IP address?

I'm promoting dating offer. And i decided to check stats for the last month sorted by IP address.

First thing i noticed that i get a lot of clicks from the same IP address, and that is understandble if the same person clicked on my banners.

Then i noticed that from some ip address i got multiple conversions.
Ip Address 92 visits, 19 clicks, and 7 conversions.

Does this mean that i got 7 conversions from the same computer? How is that possible?

Could be fraud, could be an ISP/carrier using CGNAT (multiple customers behind one public facing IP address). Hard to say. If your lead quality is good then I probably wouldn't worry too much about it.

It can happen, but from only 92 visits it looks a bit suspicious.

Usually its normal thing on mobile connection as IPs are shared across the pool of their customers.

So 1 IP can be shared with multiple people.

You can try it yourself:
- connect to 3G & check your IP
- disconnect
- reconnect and check your IP -> it's different again and your previous IP is now with someone else

It depends on what cell a mobile subscriber is connected to. If that IP address is assigned to a high traffic urban zone then it looks quite normal.

BTW the conversions shouldn't be from the same device model or os

I am 99% sure what it is because we encountered that situation several times:
Its Arabic/Indian guys using proxys. They wanna watch the stuff banned in their country and go over a proxy. This guys tend to sign up for everything. You will see a high CR. If your tracking gives you the option to check the ISP as well and not only the IP have a look. It will be Google, Level 3 communications and so on. So you see an US/DE/whatever TIER1 IP but the ISP is from a datacenter. I assume you run a PPL offer and not a direct carrier billing offer. With a DCB billing offer the shared IPs over the mobile phone would be quite common in some markets. But should not be in your case in my opinion...

If I am right this leads are worthless for the advertiser, if you deliver a big amount of that, it can happen that your PPL gets lowered or they kick you out of the offer. Its also common not to pay for this leads once you are not under the radar any more....
