Hello everybody, I hope you guys are having a wonderful day.
I have a questions that I think alot of international affiliate would ask the same thing.
Is there any way to ignore the tax ID or SSN when I apply for an affiliate networks?
I am an international student from Vietnam studying in the U.S right now.
Since I am international student, I cannot get SSN (Social Security Number) and I did not have Tax ID back in my country ( I did not work).
So is there any chance to explain or talk to the affiliate network about this?
Because there are alot of affiliate networks ask for these kind of information (F5 for example)
Thank you.
Hey,
If you talk to your affiliate manager, they should be able to tell you what to do.
I've applied, as a company, to networks that REQUIRED SSN in their form, but of course in reality they didn't require it to work with them; they just have a bad template.
What they usually tell me is to just add 0's there, and make sure the other details are correct. Talk to someone from the network before doing this! This is just so you know some solutions others suggested and are not too surprised when they tell you to do that.
Cheers,
Manu.
I usually put "N/A" into boxes that do not apply to my case, so far it worked
But do as Manu suggested, try to talk to some rep from that network and explain your situation.
Just put NA or 00000 and explain to your AM what your situation is. Mentioning your are a member of STM is definitely going to help you get accepted in any network.
