Multiple Mobile - Anti Virus

Hi All

Myself and a friend have been testing multiple offers - we are testing one each and comparing results.

1. Mexico - Anti Virus
Payout: $2.80
Number Of Landers Tested: 3

Visits: 2758
Clicks: 1178
CTR: 42%
Conversions: 3
Revenue: $8.40

Total Traffic Spend: $20 (Bidding just higher than average bid).

2. India - Anti Virus
Payout: $0.60
Number of Landers tested: 3

Visits: 3941
Clicks: 4205
CTR: 106%
Conversions: 1
Revenue: $0.60

Total Traffic Spent: $15

I am not sure why theres more clicks than visits?

India did not perform well at all - but we was bidding just higher than the average bid reported by the traffic source to ensure quality traffic is being tested.

Can I ask what your guys opinions are? We are planning on continuing other geos - but we think the Mexico geo may be able to get green with some work?

These are our first campaigns together - so I think we haven't done too bad!

Thanks guys.

Hey! Congrats on taking action!

Regarding your clicks I made the experience that these most likely
are triggered by bots from your Trafficsources or from specific Scripts within your Landers.
There are ressources on STM regarding the handling on Bot Traffic.
Recheck your landers if there is something like a backfix or other stuff that
could cause this.

In my opinion you should definitively test more offers, cause one each means 2 offers tested for
one geo, that`s not a lot.

Cheers...

Give it another 20-40$ for Mexico.

Then cut down to the best lander and offer.

Rotate new offers in and let them run vs. your control group.

After improving your funnel, you can start optimizing the targeting.

Go into the data and check if some targeting options or placements stick out positively or negatively. If something is far from being profitable cut it. If something is already profitable, break it out and run with competitive bid.

Test your Mexico campaign as well on another traffic source with strong Mexico inventory.

Hello day1stacker, congrats on taking action!

As for the LP ctr issue, this is usually caused by backbutton or autoredirect scripts, that send traffic to the campaing click url. In case you are utilizing a script like that, send that traffic to a separate campaign to avoid this.

Another option is a bot placement as flow_rian already pointed out - we had a few guys reporting the same here on STM lately. Try to open a placement report in your tracker and see if there are some that could be causing this. In some cases, this problem is tied to a small amount of IPs that produce extremely high CTR rates.

Now to the offers you are promoting :

Are these carrier billing offers? In case it's true, the problem with India might be that you targeted the wrong carriers or that the source sent you too much wifi traffic. Verify this.

It's also possible that you received more bots in the India campaign compared to Mexico. Check this bot-detection guide by Caurmen : https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...n-Any-Campaign

Based on the current results, it might be a good idea to focus on Mexico and test more LPs and more offers.

Hi All

Thanks for your feedback - take on board everything you've said.

The stats for india ended up as per below:
Landing Pages: 3
Offers: 1
Visits: 3941
Clicks: 4205
Conversions: 2
Revenue: $1.20
Cost: $16.94
Profit: -$15.74
CTR: 106.7%
ROI: -92.92%

Bidding just above average as per traffic source - at $0.005 (average bid reported by PopAds was $0.003)

I launched another campaign targetting Turkey - Anti Virus. I asked my AM for the best converting 1 click flow AV and used that offer.

Turkey:
Landing Pages: 4
Offers: 1
Visits: 2536
Clicks: 464
Conversions: 0
Revenue: $0
Cost: $7.97
Profit: $0
CTR: 18.30%
ROI: -100%

Again bidding just above average as per traffic source - at $0.004 (average bid reported by PopAds was $0.003)

What I found odd about Turkey is that as soon as the campaign started the traffic came through extremely quick and the budget of $10 burned through in less than an hour? India was a lot more progressive so I am not sure what went on here..

My friend will be lauching Poland AV tomorrow - however we are thinking that going forward we should test 6 landers and possibly increase amount of offers to 3?

So from my understanding the camp would be setup in Voluum to rotate 3 offers across 6 landers.

Any advice or insight would be helpful going forward!

Your landing page only needs to be good enough. Check out which 2-3 landing page are doing the biggest damage on Adplexity and test them. Don't put too much time & money into testing them.

Focus on the offer. It's what makes or breaks your campaign. Test at least 3-5 recommendations. If they don't fly, switch to mass testing.

Popads has a big inventory for Turkey, however it gets already a bit saturated. A year ago you would have gotten $50+ per hour traffic.

Poland I wouldn't test on Popads, the inventory is not worth it.

Hi All

- Sebastian_r thank you for your input very useful.

I actually got a conversion for Turkey which came in a bit later on.. so the stats look like this:

Turkey:
Landing Pages: 4
Offers: 1
Visits: 2536
Clicks: 464
Conversions: 1
Revenue: $2.40
Cost: $7.97
Profit: -$5.57
CTR: 18.30%
ROI: -69.90%

OK - it was 1 conversion but still something. And for such little spend I was not expecting any..

I will provide you with an update on our next move..
