What Makes A Good Animated GIF For Adult?

So something I been working on is getting my CTRs up for my banners. I am running mobile traffic in Tier 1 geos, so Im trying to eek out every point of ROI possible. One way I'm trying to do that is by lowering my CPC.

Something that I feel like i haven't really got down is finding the right animated images to use on my banners.

Am I just supposed to find the most ridiculous porn image out there? (ie rough sex, anal sex, punish porn etc)

Just curious to what you guys look for in a gif for your banners.

For CTR yes ... for CVR, nope

You're trying to sell dating, not fetish porn for the weirdest of them. Obviously, if you;re pushing some fetish dating or other narrow niche, this would change.

In some cases, ridiculous can work - think about the animated gifs with alien-like chicks for example, but that's more of an exception, at least based on my experience.

For me these worked well - bouncing boobs, slowmotion intercourse, closeup on butt while walking ... pretty regular stuff, certainly nothing on the edge.

How are the CTR on these types of gifs? Or does the CVR more than makeup for the lower CTR?

The CTR doesnt have to be really low actually, what I wanted to say is that those extreme banners can have very high CTR at times, but it won't help the overall performance ... so it's often better to keep it toned down and settle with lower CTR.

To be honest, I don't care much about CTR - I mean, I obviously monitor it closely, but as long as it's not super low or super high, the CVR and ROI is more important to me.

What's your definition (percentage) for super low/high of CTR?

Let's say below 0.1% and higher than 0.5% - profiting below 0.1% is hard and CTR usually doesn't go over 0.5% without using misleading banners. Sure, playbutton banners for example can go up to 2%, but without misleading elements, it's quite hard to go over 0.5%. This is for desktop, mobile is usually showing higher %.
