I have been testing content locking campaigns for the past 2 weeks at break even on a low $100/day budget.
The payouts are low (.50 to $2) but I have met a few guys who crush it so I am giving it a try.
Optimizing the lander increases the conversion rates but it really just depends on what app they download.
Some days will have 68 conversions with a $140 rev and some days will have 130 conversions with $70 rev.
Anyone have experience dealing with this while content locking on FB?
Facebook has always been fluctuating day by day- so with low scale you can't really expect the campaign to stabilize.
Have you tried increasing the budget?
I tried going up to $200 per day but that always resulted in negative ROI. Should I scale up slower?
Duplicate the campaign or raise the budget at midnight/late night of audience's time zone.
You can use the "Create Rule" function in AdsManager to increase your Campaign | AdSet every day by a certain %. The increase will happen always at 12am of your ad accounts time zone (which is important in order to not mess with the FB algorithms too much).
We have seen success with content locking + FB but with higher paying pin submits in geos like DE, FR, NL, etc
EPCs can be higher than $1.00 so its easier to scale. And most of the offers are ok with incent traffic which makes it a smooth deal.
Works particularly well if locking gaming niche related content.
