Okay so I set up 5 ads in fb with same title and ad copy but 5 similar but different images. I set all 5 ads at the same bid and ran them all at the same time and they all got about the same horrible CTR and around the same number of clicks but the only one that shows conversions is AD1 while all the other 4 ads have 0 conversions. All the tracking link seems to be working fine and does take me to the offer page. I'm direct linking with all the ads by the way and it's a short lead form gen with $4 payout
Can it be that there is some kind of error either from the advertiser or the cpa network where im just not getting credit? maybe scrubbing or shaving ? Only letting one image have conversion while others have 0 ?
that's normal. One image attracts clicks that convert while another attracts clicks that don't convert. Also, do you have enough clicks on your ads to make a proper decision (at least a few hundred click per ad)?
^^ index is right as always.
also
if you have had 100 clicks on each ad and only 2 conversions on AD1, then its too early to say that ad converts best.
but as you didnt really post click/conv stats its difficult to say.
Okay so then if all ads had crappy CTR as in .066% CTR and below, but only ad1 is consistently converting where the EPC is double that of the price im paying which puts me in 100% roi should I just keep this converting ad which has low CTR or should I test more images? So even though my CTR is shitty my conversion rate seems to be doing pretty good, so what would you do in my shoes?
1. Test more images? (to see if you can get a higher ctr while maintaining the CVR)
2. Nothing just keep that Ad since you're getting 100% ROI
testing means spending more money but if I can get a higher CTR with same conversion rate I will have more than 100% ROI cause cpc will be lower OR all this test can end up with images with better CTR but with horrible CVR.. AAAAAAHHHHH
Decisions... decisions.....
test every variable in the best performing ad (by epc) - ie image, headline, body - in that order - but use your best performing ad as control and assess other ads on EPC, not ctr.
also dont split traffic equally across all combinations as you would loose large % of your income if other combos dont convert. i cant remember whether pof allows you to %split traffic across creatives (dont think it does), and in that case just copy your best performing ad 3 times, so you run 4 of those compared to 3 other ads for example. of course it will take longer to get results, so if the offer is likely to go away soon, just test as soon as you can.
yeah 2/100 on short form leadgen that pays 1.80 is tough. The 100 was not important - it was the 2.
ie if on ad 1 you had 2 conversions, and on the others none, its too early to draw ny conclusions about the performance of the other ads.
agree that you should eliminate non converting offers.
