Lookalike Audience Question
Hi guys,
Was wondering..
From your experience, does providing first name, last name, phone, email, etc actually make a difference or does the algorithm have the ability to figure out similarities just based off lets say emails.
My list is all over the place with the formatting.. looking for a short cut tbh..

Facebook has the ability to figure it out just from e-mails because it matches the e-mails with people actually on Facebook and that is how they actually get the data. It takes the similarities and creates the best audience based on many things like interests, age, gender, there are too many too list and creates the lookalike audience from that.

Thanks for the reply. I am just going to upload the list and not the numbers and names. Wanted to make sure this approach works.

Phone numbers actually have a higher match rate as people can have multiple emails they use for certain sign ups (facebook or when filling out an order) but usually have only 1 phone number which they use for everything like fb and filling out orders...

Thanks for the tip. To ask in the most concise manner I can, would you upload a list a phone numbers or emails or if you have both, always do both.

Have tested this a few times at scale. Phone number + email together produced the best results (highest match rate + strong performing lookalike). Adding first name, last name etc increased the match rated but resulted in poorer performing audiences - which suggests to me that Facebook is matching to the wrong users. My AM claims that the more information you upload the better, so take this with a pinch of salt

What was the niche? Also is your product or market broad or were you targetting a niche product?
Im seeing some return by uploading everything i have to upload.
