Rule Of Thumb For Cutting Mobile Banners Question

I notice that on Web offers people generally say it's a good idea to cut banners after 3-4x payout offer.

However for mobile I have seen people say 7x payout offer?

I don't need the technical math details, but could somebody explain why it's 7x as opposed to 4x?

Is it cuz mobile offers have lower payouts? Maybe cuz you can target some OS/Devices etc?

Thanks in advance.

It depends how quickly you want to optimize and what margin of error are you fine with.

We do 3-4x payout and -100% ROI for mobile offers too, not just desktop.

The 7x might be in connection to different ROI.. For example, 7x payout spent and -80% ROI, instead of -100% ROI.

There are a few steps to cutting placements, some for -100% ROI (0 conversions) and some that continue up until you get positive ROI.
