I had already test general dating on Adw but no profit. I ran two offers for one month, and the cost is $4,500, revenue is $2,400, so ROI is about -50%, so I had to give up because there was no enough money. What a pity was that there was no thread that I got, so the leader thought I can not make a success. I design the LP to run the dating offer.
First the CPC is pretty expensive on Adw, above $0.3, CTR is about 30% but the CVR is not good, basically below 2%.
so if the Adw traffic is not good for general dating offers?

I still think the bad thing is that I could not get some threads though I ran it nearly one month.
It's not possible to give you any advice based on this.
What do you mean by "no thread" ?
- 2 offers is not enough, you need to test more. Did each offer have several landers? Did you test all?
- what kind of keywords did you target? More like "Dating" or "looking for 30 years old blonde to date"? If you picked the shorter version, no wonder you failed.
- you said you designed the LP, how many did you actually design? It's not unusual to fail with a dozen of LPs until you can come up with one that works. Did you somehow spy on your competition to see what kind of LPs they are using?
- did you try just adwrods search or the google display network too?
Mat.
Thanks, Mat. Firstly I tried adw search, but the dating word was so expensive that I gave up after 3 days because there was no conversions. Next I tried google display network and everyday I would change targeting position or creatives but not change LP, but the ROI was around -30-50%, so I had to gave up. In fact, I only revise some lp through watching the competitor. I don't know where can I spy LP about mainstream dating?
You can use similar landing pages as for adult dating, just tone down the images and some of the claims.
Also, when optimizing - don't just make changes every day, do them based on the data. You also need to test more offers or at least offer landers .... more angles, more banners ... that's how it is with dating. It's just a matter of testing
