Hey guys a few scenarios I'm coming across running native, and it kinda sucks. Its not a huge # of them, but still sucks nonethless. It seems the network catches everything but the source and tracker dont. I'm using
1) Conversion (small number) showing up on network but not on source or tracker (not complaining but I cant optimize as well)
2) Conversion showing up on network and tracker but not on source
What could be the cause of these - I'm more concerned with 1 as I feel 2 is more common..
EDIT: I pulled the conversion report on my affiliate network for a case of 1) and it shows a conversion but nothing passed back for s2 or for click ID - what does this mean? The times of two conversions were about 5 mins apart, one had a sub id one didn't - figure they could be related?
Thanks!
How big % of the conversions are missing? Some loss is normal, no tracking technology is perfect. So if you're missing like 1 or 2 conversions out of 100, don't worry about it.
The second possibility is that those conversions were a result of some redirect (some fallback, out of targeting, duplicate visit ...) at the affiliate networks side and their setup prevents the postback to fire when those happen, ask your AM about it. This could explain the missing subid.
