Any ideas on how to deal with bot traffic?

I'm using Popads.
With this Tier 2 Geo, the websites that are sending me large amount of traffic have 60%-70% of bot traffic.

The good side is that even with this amount of bot traffic, I'm getting some conversions and 0-10% ROI.

Should I group the websites by their bot rate and bid according to the bot rate?
I just set up the tracking today. So I don't have enough conversion data.

I plan to block the websites that have high bot rate and don't generate any conversions. But now, I don't have enough conversions to do so. Not sure if this is a good idea...

Caurmen wrote an article that can help you understand the BOT problem a bit deeper : https://stmforum.com/forum/showthrea...ut-Bot-Traffic

Check it out in case you didn't yet.

But generally speaking, bot % is not the only factor to consider when cutting a placement, it can be profitable even when the % is relatively high - as you have already figured out yourself.

Grouping placements byt bot % and adjusting bids sounds like a pretty good idea, but I'm afraid it's gonna be too much work to be a viable method.

What I personally do : I keep the bot placements too in case there is enough real traffic to deliver multiple conversions. Then I simply try to improve the funnel, to be able to keep as many of them as possible.

If you decide on focusing on cutting bot traffic, make sure to check with your tracking solution on a bot-filter option. AdsBride offers one.
