Guys, if anyone is interested in meeting in the UK this year for a networking/training event let me know.

Hey, I'm actually based in the South West in Torquay.

I appreciate that's a little difficult to get to for some, so would likely hold it either in Birmingham (pretty central for most) or London.

Although it has to be said, Torquay IS a great place to hold a meetup. There's a huge party boat which can be hired out, always had my eye on it...

Last year, the STM crew organised a local networking event at Hyde Park in London ... that was just lovely!

In London for almost 2 weeks as of April 7th, so if it's anywhere around it...

Someone take the lead and make it happen ... Nothing happens unless someone makes it happen.

The options are, either an informal meeting space like a Hotel foyer or bar for general networking. < FREE

Or

A half-day training event ran with a 1-3 speakers, in a private meeting room in London, focused on Native Ads for example + Networking after. (Not so free!)

It depends on whether you are looking for informal networking or are you looking to come away with something actionable?

I was at the BBQ last year in London, I personally really enjoyed it, really great to put some faces to the names behind the profiles here. But other than a belly full of burgers, there wasn't much else I could take away from it.

I was also followed around by a guy who spent the entire afternoon asking me how I made money... he also brought along a little notepad to make sure he could go over it later

So, first option is easy enough to sort out... second option requires a minimum amount of people to run and the interest in it!

Quick update on this.. Currently looking into venues for an informal meet-up to be held before July...

If anyone has any suggestions on suitable bars, hotel areas, etc they can recommend, please let me know via PM or in the Skype group.

This will be held on Friday 12th May at 4pm for networking and drinks at Balls Brothers, Minster Court, Mincing Lane, EC3R 7PP

There will be a roped-off part of the bar for STM members.

I just joined this group as I am moving to the UK(IOM) in May....I don't think I'll be able to join the event though unfortunately due to the timing of the move...
