I would strongly suggest knstalling the application in a subdirectory other than html root. Keep the script kiddies guessing

What you mean by this man?
I read somewhere that CPVlab was easy to hack into, do any of you guys know if this is true?

so rather then putting cpvlab on:

cpvlab.yourdomain.com/

(ie in the root)

do something like:

yourdomain.com/illusions/

or whatever other random word instead of illusions

there was an issue with cpvlab a long time ago but thats been fixed.

to make your install more secure make sure you keep your log folder clean and rename your login.php file
