@nick - I heard Shoptimized was buggy. What's your take on it?

We used Shopifybooster too and each version introduced bugs all the time. The last iteration had a lot of fixes though but I haven't bothered with it. If you want a good theme look at Retina from OutoftheSandbox.com

We use Retina as well. Highly recommended and easy framework to customize by you or by hired developers.

We have used Shoptimized but it does have bugs like pain2k mentioned. Our internal team had to fix them.

The worst one we found was a javascript error which happens only on mobile safari browsers. Since most people use the facebook app browser it won't happen frequently, but it's a guaranteed 100% loss of all conversions on ipads and iphones browsing on safari. You can see it on a session recording with hotjar.com for example, it breaks the product image layout and disables the Buy Now button.

Other than this the theme has been working fine for us CR wise, but always check in detail your user recordings when switching to a custom theme or updating it.

shoptimized is easy to duplicate starting with one of the free Themes. Free themes with Section are great, soon all themes will use section, remember that.
I think its good, and its not to heavy but there is far better themes, or the one you develop yourself picking the ideas here and there.

But, remember to check themes source, some are really really horribly designed, like adding any css/js they can to add new features and don't care about performance at all.
Yes, check load time with your fav tools https://www.dotcom-tools.com/website-speed-test.aspx, check in all devices and as with mouseflow/hotjar like Todor said.

Yo guys, cheers for the advice, in terms of setting up multiple shops on FB are you just running separate accounts each one, with farmed profiles or is there a more legit way to do it?

Not sure how everyone missed this but to answer your question, albeit very late - You can do everything according to FB's terms when it comes to ecommerce so you can setup a Business Manager, and have multiple pages, ad accounts, etc.
