Tracking + Split testing clickbank offers and their upsells

I am a clickbank vendor and have not been able to track revenue accurately/ get clarity on how to do this in FunnelFlux yet. Below is how I've been approaching it, and the information I've gathered from Funnel Flux posts/ support. It seems that since Funnel Flux uses the clickbank API it does not work the same as with the postback method used with affiliate networks etc. If anyone can clarify would be appreciated.

Clickbank Offer/ Upsell Tracking

To track upsells as a clickbank vendor I am working on the assumption that I need to do two things:
1. vtid={hit-id} should be set on clickbank offers to track conversions.
2. flux_txid needs to be set for each offer (as in Screenshot A) to avoid overwriting revenue in FunnelFlux when a customer buys multiple items (e.g. frontend, upsell 1 and upsell 2) and ending up with garbled revenue tracking

Questions:
A. Does the vtid={hit-id} need to be set for upsell offers also? The ones in a clickbank defined pitchplus upsell flow that are shown to the user as soon as he's converted on the front end offer?
B. Can you just set the flux_txid in the postback as I've done and it sorts this out? Nowhere else needed to put it since clickbank API is being used?

Clickbank Offer/ Upsell Split Testing
There is also an issue I'm trying to navigate with split testing front end offers and the Pitchplus Upsell Flows in Clickbank.

Clickbank sends all traffic after a frontend sale to the same upsell 1 link which is programmed into a Pitchplus Upsell Flow. This means that it doesn't fit with the architecture used by FunnelFlux, as in Screenshot B example - where each front end offer (and upsell offer) has its own unique action link.

Funnel Flux has an action link exiting from each offer. Whereas Clickbank has one link that it funnels all traffic down after the purchase.

Here is how I have been planning to deal with this:

1. As illustrated in Screenshot B I program into Clickbank's Pitchplus upsell flow a specific Rotator 'send traffic' link from flux (this rotator combine traffic from all previous step offers that are split testing).
2. This skips using the outcoming action links from the front-end offers in funnel flux, but as I understand it won’t affect stats?

Funnel Flux support suggested that perhaps creating separate funnels for each upsell would help to resolve this. So I could try this also.

As far as I can tell that ends up being the same as the rotator strategy I've outlined above, as you are using a 'send traffic' link in the clickbank upsell flow - so clickbank sends all traffic via that same link (not using any actions).

The only difference would be that Funnel Flux wouldn't have those action links showing up in its flow chart - so it would then look correct and there wouldn't be any action steps missed. But I wouldn't then be able to see the continunation in the heatmap - and I'm not sure if the 'conversion paths' would include the whole path including frontend funnel and the upsell paths. Which is what I'd need to optimize the entire funnel.

Thanks in advance for any input or ideas on how to resolve these.

UPDATE on this:

Resolved all of this/ got it working great.

Vitavee resolved it himself for me by jumping a skype call and walking me through it. Much thanks!

If anyone else is working on this and would find it useful let me know and I'll post up how it's finally set up to capture everything correctly.

Vitavee is usually of great help, glad he helped to solve the issue for you as well

Hi weekendwarrior

I would like to learn how to set up a complete funnel with Funnel Flux with:

1. frontend offer - video sales letter, text sales letter, discount page, exit popup redirects
2. and upsells
3. rotators for split testing each page

If you want to share your design I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

Hey Alex,

Excuse delay, been a while since I logged in. Here's a walkthrough of my funnel/ the main things I learned to set FunnelFlux up properly as a Clickbank Vendor:

Important Note: I clarified an additional point with VitaVee after this video. For the clickbank Upsells you must include the vtid={hit-id} in order to track conversions for your split testing of upsell versions.
