Landing pages with different URL than tracking URL? (2)
Hello,
I wanted to ask if it is necessary to have a different domain for my landing pages?
Right now my tracker is at trk.example.com and my landing pages are at example.com/lp/etc

It's definitely better to separate them, let me give you the main reasons for doing so :
1. in case one of your LPs get's flagged by google safebrowsing for example, it will take down your tracking too, along with all the other campaigns.
2. with some verticals, it's better to use domains that are matching the niche to host the LPs. Think about adult dating for example, you don't want to use the same domain for tracking mainstream campaigns.
3. It's also a good idea to host your tracker on a separate server than your landing pages, so having a separate domain for it is a good idea too.

A domain is just a few bucks, don't try to save where it's not necessary
