'Private' offers

An affiliate manager just informed me of 'private' offers. What does it mean that an offer is private? Are they better?

No.

It means that this offer isnt available for everyone (not everyone knows the network has this offer).
This could be for various reasons:
They dont want everyone to know they have it.
It has different terms and is available only for publishers who "proved themselves" with other offers.
The advertiser is requesting to keep it in private (for his reasons).

Could be more reasons for it.

But it doesnt mean a private offer is better. Just that its private.

In some cases network mark their exclusive offers as private too - so let's say a network makes an exclusive deal with some advertisers and no other network will have these offers.

But yeah, as Oran mentioned, these are just private/exclusive, they don't have to be better in any way.
