This is very weird! Another member was just describing the same issue in another thread I was replying to yesterday.
Maybe try this: Take out the backbutton code and run a bit of traffic to it to compare CTR. It's actually not a big problem to not have the "correct" CTR reflected in tracker stats, as you should be making decisions based on CR/CV and not CTR anyway. My worry is that the high CTR may be an indication of some bigger underlying issue.
Also - is this only happening to a few placements or many/most placements? If it's only for a few placements, then it could be because of bots as you suggested.

This is no good! Is there a bot filter available? Definitely check the placements, like vortex suggested, and see if it's bots. You definitely do not want to be overcharged.
