Finding a niche / hot products

Hello friends,

I want to ask a question about the niche.

I want to sell products on my own site (let's say Shopify).
What tools do you have to find a good and profitable niche?
And one step deeper, how to find hot products in the same niche?

What tools do you use to find a niche/products?

Thanks a lot!

Good niches:

The primary concern you have when picking a niche is that there are customers willing to spend actual money.

There's no real "master list of all possible niches", so the first thing to do is to brainstorm every niche you can think of that you could sell to.

Then score them on the following things:

1) Do the people involved in that niche spend money on it?

Good niche: golf. People spend money on all sorts of things there, from club subscriptions to, well, clubs. Bad niche: Free-To-Play game players. Sure, some of them spend money, but most don't spend much.

2) Do people involved in the niche spend money REGULARLY? This is important because in the Shopify game, repeat customers are the best customers.
Good niche: golf, again. You need to pay regularly to access the golf course.

3) Can you target the people in that niche? With Facebook and paid ads this is less of an issue than if you're building organic traffic, but it's still worth checking. Does Facebook list it as an interest? Is there a subreddit? Etc.

High-scoring niches in all categories are the ones to focus on.

Maybe take a peak at WhichAdsWork and search "shopfiy" keyword. Will give you some ideas. I like to sort by "likes" or "shares" this means the content and ads have a big viral component and people like them.
