A guy who coaches/speaks/holds paid webinars for a living just posted a teaser on how to get 9 cent conversions in the USA.
Being in the same boat where we do lead gen, I can confirm the method works, but I'll save you Time and $700 and reveal how its done for FREE (as usual).
You don't have to pay $700 a head for his webinar, the secret to this is pretty simple. [well as with everything, once you are IN THE KNOW]
The concept/model is this: You need to give your target audience something they all REALLY want for FREE.
To find this something first make a list of potential 'lead magnet' ideas.
Then, DON'T BUILD THEM.
Instead just spend $20 per lead magnet, and see which ones people click the link to download on the most.
Nevermind that they will bitch it doesn't work. You want to measure the CTR on Link Clicks.
After you find your lead magnet, you build it.
You then do an ubpublished page post, and run ads to the same one using different targeting to keep the social proof the same.
TIP: Make sure you implement filter words on your page settings, a lot of idiots will yell scam, rip off etc without ever checking what your offer is, etc. Just typical human nature these days...

Yep, this is an excellent approach, particularly for paid traffic.
As an added trick I've used on dry tests in the past - rather than just having the lead magnet not work, forward people who want it on to a page that says "Oops, we're not quite ready yet! But if you'd like to know when we are ready, enter your email address here..." and then have a mailing list capture.
That gives you two data points to evaluate from: clickthroughs on the lead capture AND people so interested in the lead magnet that they'll actually give you their email.

After a person fills out the lead form, would you use what caurmen said "Oops, we're not quite ready yet! But if you'd like to know when we are ready, enter your email address here..."
Once, you see which ad generates the most leads, then you can start building out a product to educate those leads about Facebook Advertising(in my case).
By doing this, you're ultimately not building a lead magnet through LeadPages, Clickfunnels, etc... I'm not sure if I have the right idea here, please feel free to critique.
