Daily cost and revenue tracking! Whats your thoughts?

Been looking around for some good tools that allow good reporting and i wanted to get some idea on what you guys use.

Right now we run traffic at about 10 different traffic sources and thats not counting the different Facebook accounts.
We keep track of our daily spend on each source and daily conversions for each offer all in a spread sheet.

Im wondering if there is any tool or software out there that you guys use to make this alot easier. I want to be able to literally click a source and see how much I've spent on it past 14 days without having to add up all these spread sheets. Same with offers/networks/buyers, wanna know how much i made and have decent reporting, my team would input the data in everyday so I'm not looking for anything crazy.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Well you can manually update your costs in tracker. (at least in Voluum it's possible)

I personally do not focus on daily precise earnings, but rather do a monthly recalculating when I take all of my campaigns and update the costs accordingly.

Doing it daily its overwhelming and time consuming, especially if you have tens of campaigns running.

Another idea if you are a techie or would like to hire someone - would be to create a system that will take the numbers from your tracker and also from the traffic source and do the math for you.

Are you using any tracking at all? Because almost all that you mentioned is doable with any modern tracker : Voluum, funnelflux, thrive, Adsbridge ... To get accurate numbers, you will have to adjust the daily costs manually, since it's not really possible to reach 100% accuracy with CPM bidding and the always-present click-loss. But other than that, it can do all you ask for from a large part.

You mention "buyers" too, so in case you want to manage several buyers under one account, standard trackers don't really support this - thou you can work around it by assigning specific names to campaigns based on who is handling the buying. But you might also want to look into either cake or hasoffers, which are platforms used to run affiliate networks and I know that some large affiliates use them as private trackers too.

Thanks for the replys

Yeah the reason I havnt used Voluum is because I have literally 5-6 campaigns running for 1 traffic source and it changes all the time so I gets messy to track by campaign, I'd rather have a place where my employee can go in and literally plug in data like today X source spent Y and got Z sales across the board. and today X network generated Y sales.

I'm talking to someone on maybe getting something simple like this developed but it's hard to think it doesn't already exist, just any seem to find it lol

See if this spreadsheet helps you:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

By entering your daily campaign data it will provide you with a MTD overview at both offer and traffic source level while handling any annoying reversal/refund issues and bringing back your monthly net P&L with costs considered.

IMPORTANT: This is a public google document. Do NOT add real campaign data to this sheet!! Please got to file > make a copy, and work on your locally saved sheet!!!!

Hope it helps

5-6 campaigns is nothing, I have dozens and dozens of campaigns running at any time, tracking them with standard trackers without any problems. That's what trackers are built for Not even mentioning how useful they can be in terms of analyzing traffic. Are you sure you dont want to try some? In case you don't need carrier detection, look at funnel flux, it has some pretty awesome features.

Well, the problem with Voluum is i have a lot of dirty and safe campaigns and a lot of campaigns running different site id's and different targeting etc, so literally 1 source could have 5-8 campaigns and its impossible to know exactly how much each spent and all that, it just gets crazy. Which is way i just put in a total of that source vs total revenue.

Stil havnt found anything, crazy how hard it is to find something i can literally input data, how much i spent and how much how much i made and get nice reporting and dashboards from.

Thought of maybe getting another Voluum subscription just for daily total reporting, no clicks or anything. Will look into funnel flux aswell.

Any suggestions would help thanks!

In FunnelFlux, you can adjust your cost very precisely.

1st, campaigns are not attached to traffic sources, you can use different traffic sources to send traffic to 1 single campaign, without having to clone that campaign.

When you want to update your cost, you select:

1/ The campaign
2/ The specific funnel within that campaign (campaigns are like funnel categories)
3/ The traffic source
4/ The time range and timezone
5/ Some optional modifiers, among them you can select which traffic source tokens (one or multiple) as well as which values for these tracking tokens

Here's a screenshot to give you an idea:

We also have a cost API so you can update your costs automatically if you can get this data programmatically from your traffic sources.

Adsbridge can offer you a cost update feature. It is only turned on on a personal basis, but if you contact our support team at support@Adsbridge.com, they'll be happy to set it up with you. (as well as a discount!)
