Manual Spying & Offer Testing
Hello guys,
Recently I've been working on two campaigns for which I have already spent half of the calculated budget without any conversion so far.
Being aware that ripped landers sometimes have some nasty surprises on where the traffic goes, this time to get this variable out of the picture I checked and double-checked every script in my landing pages ( and re-wrote most of it).
Offers included in the campaigns are Generic Download - 1Click/PIN Submits.
Now on my way to building procedures to ease my work for upcoming campaigns I decided to do some manual spying on the targeted GEO as well as test my campaigns flow, even though I cannot trigger a conversion on a PIN submit offer , but at least I can get to the offer page.
After several trials I ran into this problem with my own campaign links. 6 out of 10 trials after loading any of my landing pages and clicking to the respective CTA I went to another landing page instead of going to my offer's page. Sometimes direct linked pin submit offers without a LP.
Do I have to consider these redirects as a RED Alert to these offers as long as they didn't record a single conversion with an avarage CTR varying from 7-13%? Or should I consider these redirects normal because I'm using VPN? One other thing I noticed when asked my AM to trigger a test conversion was that it took a while for him to trigger it, making some questions that made me thing something was going wrong on getting to the offer page.
Thank you in advance!

You are most likely just being redirected by the fallback redirects, because you don't match the targeting in one way or the other : device, carrier, geo ... sometimes they also redirect VPN traffic etc ...
Also make sure there really aren't any click-stealing scripts present, since you mentioned some of the clicks led to another LP - this could be a hijack.

Thanks Matej. I believe I've cut out every doubtful script, but I'll check again.
My doubts in the offer go to the fact that my AM hardly triggered the conversion and told me several times that couldn't see networks link in the path.
Also, could it be the case that I'm using Voluum's naked campaign link? I've seen white hat cloaking suggested to mask the affiliate links in order to protect clickids or something like this.

Some AMs are not able to make test conversions, some don't know how or don't want to do it from other reasons... I wouldn't worry about it too much, thou it tells you something about the AM or the network in general.
The redirects are using detections that are not dependable on the url itself, they simply identify the surfer, so what link you are using doesn't matter. People cloak the urls in order to hide referral data, so the network can't see where the clicks are coming from and can't steal their campaigns. Since you're just starting out, you don't need to worry about this at all at this point.
