Propeller Ads sending me bad traffic? (help!)

Here are the results from my Pingdom RUM testing report

The thing is: My campaigns were run on Vietnam, India and Ghana

But there seems to be a lot of clicks coming from US (over 1.1k!) and some other random countries like Egypt and Indonesia

Why is this so?

Are they sending me bot traffic?

The US clicks were definitely not mine, neither did I let anyone else know my LP URLs

Hello,

first of all, make sure that the settings of your campaign are correct - shit happens, we all can miss-click

Next question is how are you tracking your campaigns? What you posted here is the pingdom report that probably shows all activity on the pages, you need to make sure that the traffic we are talking about here, was actually coming from propeller and it's not some crawling BOTs that found your pages by accident. Do you also use some tracker like Voluum for example?

Traffic sources are not perfect either, I have received traffic that was not matching my targeting many times already - usually they will refund it in case you can provide proof.

I've double checked my camps, all settings and geo are in order

And yes I'm tracking with Voluum, however my stats are not recorded in Voluum because I was trying out the cloaker (fb), and all other geos are redirected by fb to another page (the only record would be from the 'fb campaign logs', which I think isn't really considered proof or would be good to send to Propeller)

What are your thoughts?
I'm assuming this doesn't happen often!
Could this be a mistake from TS side?

Hm, not sure if they will accept FB logs as proof - traffic sources are not exactly happy about cloakers from obvious reasons ...

I would run a small test through voluum and check whether it also shows wrong GEOs. It shouldn't happen at all, I mean a few hits can come from a different GEOs but not such large %. Hard to say without a proper test with a tool like voluum that uses reliable country detection DBs - with many services, you never know what kinda crap DB they are using.

It can definitely be a problem at the side of the TS, it happened to me several times. Usually it's some glitch when they push an update or something like that.

Double check with your TS.

Make sure the data goes through your tracker as well as it will show you the most reliable info about the traffic. (ie. Pingdom's geo ip DB may not be accurate or whatever).
