Newbie on his 2nd campaign. LF feedback. :)

Hello everyone,

I am new around here and would be glad if I could get some feedback on my 2nd mobile campaign.

Offer: Go Security App Install
Geo: [INT], I chose Denmark
Traffic Source: Go2Mobi
Ad type: 320x250 banner
Network: Adsimilis
Daily Budget: $50

I am following the The Mobile Cookbook: The Appetiser from Caurmen to learn the core process and add more parameter
like landing pages etc. step-by-step, which is also why I am direct-linking to this offer.

Came up with a few angles and chose the Angle which revolves around the AppLock feature of the App. My intention was to build
the banner solely around that aswell.

My current banner set

I accidentally ran the first few $ with all OS white listed but corrected it fast at around 10$.

Questions
- Am I doing any big mistakes? Am I on the right track?
- What do you think about the chosen angle? Is it okay if it`s not the "main" feature of the app?
- What could be better?
- Should I run the same offer with another angle and banner set if I don't receive any conversions?
- Should I switch to another geo which is not that competitive? Is DK a competitive geo cause it's EU?

Thank you very much!

Hello,

it's pretty hard to run anything with mobile display on networks like go2mobi, Im not really sure why its the case, but many people on STM have the same experience. It's easier to make something work on POPs now.

If you want to continue with banners, let me give you a few tips :

- the angles are pretty dull, you need to be more aggressive and call out people who really hide stuff or need to - hide your porn collection from your wife! got photos of your lower? Hide them from your wife ... something like this.
- you banners are in english but you target DK, translated banners are usually performing better.
- you need to drive the CTR up and I think your bid is too high too.
- check the placements and cut everything that has really bad CTR

How about LPs, are you using any? You will most likely have to test a good amount of LPs to boost your conversions.

Also focus on wifi VS carrier traffic, make separate campaigns for each and test various bid levels - carrier traffic is usually more expensive.

There is one more tip I want to give you regarding DSPs, the higher you bid, the more placements you will get your ads displayed on. But, its no needed to bid high on ALL placements, so when bidding higher, your WR on the cheaper placements will rise too much too and you will pay more for the traffic than needed. You will need to create separate campaigns and target "groups" of placements that require similar bid levels. It's pretty complicated to manage but thats how it works now.

Good luck

Thank you Matuloo for your feedback!

I was not using any landers and direct linking to first get my feets wet.

I will head over to pop traffic!
