Hey STM Members!
I want to post a follow along now, because I talked to some of the experienced members on here, which told me to do
so to get more efficient advice, thanks for that.
I read Tuan Vy's Adult Media Buying Protocol and started out with choosing an Adult Dating Offer, Snapmilfs Smartlink SOI 3$ Payout.
I tried to promote it on US for Desktop, which seemed hard for me to do, so I talked to my AM and we came to the conclusion, that
it would make more sense to do mobile, because overall Conversions were better.
So after a few bucks spent on Desktop I had my Offer, 5 Banners(with different Theme) and the GEO's ready for setup.
I tested UK, AU, ZA, CA and NZ.
(Matulo, thanks for ur advice, won't setup this many GEO's from the beginning and try to focus.)
After a few hours I saw green on every GEO, which went into red pretty fast.
I came to the conclusion(after calculating with Peak Calculator) that ZA GEO did best for me.
This decision was too early, but I can focus on this NOW.
So I spent the most for ZA Campaign.
I had 5 Banners running with different Theme and spent 20$ for each to get some data.
I cut the worst now and created variations of the best performing(different picture, because thats the most influencing part).
I will continue with my campaign now and will share more details on here(screens following).
P.S. At the moment campaign is overall at -25% ROI.
Dominik W.
Awesome start man. However, I don't think Follow-Alongs go in Success Stories.
Haha sorry
& thanks!
Update: Loaded 100$ Funds into my account to get more data. Ads were approved yesterday and I spent approximately 20$ now after the campaign was stopped for 2 days.
Problem is that there were no conversion at all for this 20$. Can it happen that a campaign gets destroyed through the time delay? I know that its hard to make decisions about "bad days/hours" when campaign isnt running consistently so I will let it run now.
First of all, adult dating still works, so in case you're in doubt about this vertical .. don't be, it works.
$20 spend without a lead, well thats nothing out of the ordinary, it happens.
But now seriously man, you're making it hard for me to help you.
You started in desktop, then cut it ... how much did you spend, what banner format, what spots, what network.... ? What did the banners look like, what did the LPs look like? How many banners, how many LPs ... ?
You decided to focus on Za ... what banners, what spots, what bids, what was the CTR ... what was the LP ctr, how many clicks went to the LPs, how many went to the offer? What was your targeting?
I want to help you, but you need to give me the data I need.
I will upload all the stats and pics for ZA Campaign now:
Overall Campaign Stats:

Awesome Dominik! Glad you've created this follow along.
Keep yourself in check to not jump all over the place. Follow the data, keep buying data and take it step by step.
Make Zuid Africa work and see if you can expand from there.
Good luck buddy!
Ok, now we are talking
Tell me more about the smartlink you are using - is it basically rotating some offer lander urls and you're not using your own LPs? Am I right? I'm pretty positive thats the case.
Cut it, get some LPs to use on your own and start testing again.
Banners : some of the images/animations are very old, I would suggest to make your own.
First of all Merry Christmas STM Brothers and Sisters!
Learned the last days to create and host my own LPs.
I will setup 2 different structured Pages now and see how CTRs are going with the pages.
I think with the data I get from this I can make a better conclusion if the LPs or the offer doesn't convert well enough.

Do you think I should cut this offer?
More than 16$ spent right now and still no conversion.
You're bidding really high, not sure what your target settings are or offer payout is but you may need to rethink your approach.
Andrew
You're still not giving us the data we need to give you proper advice.
I see that you bought 327 clicks and as you say, there were no conversions. Then on the affiliate network screen I see 584 clicks and 1 conversion. Why the difference? Different time frame?
Did you use LPs now? What was your bid? How many banners did you test?
$16 is most likely not enough to determine whether an offer has potential or not, because maybe you just didnt use LPs or not the proper ones or you used bad banners. Which I dont know, because that info is not in your posts.
