Popups technical setup

Good day,

I'd like to understand best way to setup popups campaign.
Do I need to buy VPS or dedicated server for landing pages? Do I need to use CDN?
Do I need to use the same VPS for the tracker and landing pages or it has been on different servers?
Why there are too many redirects when I checked some ads in AdPlexity?

What's the best link way?
Pop ads > tracker > lp > offer page?

Hello,

- there is pretty much just one way to link it : source - tracker - LP - offer
- POPs are the most speed sensitive traffic type, especially mobile pops - this being said, it would be a good idea to use a CDN to host your LPs
- in case of a self hosted tracker, I would recommend to host tracker separately and put LPs elsewhere
- the amount of redirects depends on many factors, there can also be some fallback scripts in the chain ...

Thanks, as I know I can use CDN only for static lp's. So, what kind of lps in popaps traffic? Could I use only CDN or I have to use vps+cdn.
could you send me some usefull links "how setup vps and cdn".

VPS is standard hosting setup, I don't think we have a tutorial for that here.

You are right, CDN can host only LPs without any server side codes, javascript can work there thou - I have no idea what LPs you have prepared, so you need to decide whether a CDN will do or not.

If you are going to run international pop campaigns I recommend to go for CDN. Rackspace is easy to start with and setup.

Did you consider cloud based trackers like Voluum or Thrive? If you are not very technical / good with servers I highly recommend to go for cloud based trackers. You simply don't want to deal with servers (unless you hire someone dedicated for this job)

Affiliates use several scripts to "cloak", if the landing page is supposed to be for mobile and you open it from desktop then it will be probably redirected somewhere else. You need to download it and comment out / delete those scripts to see the lander.
