After months of "shed time" me and the team have completed my SEO related app. It's like basecamp in ease of use and it's simple, just for organizing your sites and SEO efforts, etc... to help me get past the problems of working on many sites at once.
I'm very passionate about it and want to do the best I can for a small number of customers so I can be available anytime like Rick Del Rio is over at Limelight. Killer operation there.
Any suggestions on how to advertise this on FB? I don't have a funnel, really... Just a lander and a site. 30 day free trial w/cc submit. I've never sold my own product like this before.
Just make a bunch of ads targeted to people who are interested in SEO?
You may want to look into "contest burner" for wordpress. It allows you to give something of value away for free by having a contest. This contest can be how many tweets or likes or whatever. Also if it is a product just make a fanpage and promote it to that page. you can do an email optin and make them "like" your page before granting access to a "specail report" or whatever. hope that helps

You can look at contest burner as one option. I think wufoo also have a similar product. You could also consider their 'friend wall' - ie you need to get 3 friends to like a page to get access.
Couple of recommendations:
1) dont do ads to just a lander, integrate it more with facebook to get benefit from its viral nature like crankzappa suggests
2) ad -> facebookpage -> followup sequence is probably the best funnel
3) dont do like-to-reveal straight away. Give some value first.
4) get them to optin
5) dont do 30d with credit card, do 7day trial on email submit, and give them an extra 7 days if they get 3 friends to sign up
6) try and use as many of facebook social plugins on the fb page and your site: ie like, send, registration box, comments
8) re advertising i would target people that have expressed interests (ie liked) the main seo facebook pages and individuals (ie who are the top 10 in this industry), those that have liked particular companies (like seomoz), liked products (ie market samurai), etc etc.
So what you could do is on the facebook page have a video setting out: the big idea (how will the product benefit them), scratch the itch (ie whats the problem they have currently, how are they doing something wrong), how will their 'life' improve when they use this tool, quick demo of 3 key features, and what action do you want them to take.
Make sure you give some value that will help them achieve their goal -> ie make more money.
Then get them to like your page to get access to a free 7 day trial.
Then use a facebook registration plugin or fb optin to get them to sign up. Dont require a credit card.
Make sure that at this point you also give them the option to buy.
Once they opted in, give them the chance to get a Bonus (ie extra 7 days, or trial of the pro version, or your SEO blueprint) if they get a number of their friends to optin as well.
Then have an email sequence to convert people to the bought product.
Thanks brothers
I love these ideas - only thing is I'm unsure how to implement 7day trial on email submit since I'm using LimelightCRM to manage accounts. I'll ask Rick if I could do it any way using the API.
