How to store banners

Hi,

I do a lot of display advertising, and became curious how you guys deal with storing banners, and (if you do that) keeping stats.

The first question is how you store the banners itself? I myself name banners like "ANGLE_COUNTRY_SIZE", however I'm not sure it's the best way to do that. Your comments are highly appreciated.

The 2nd question is stats. I prefer to keep stats of each good and bad banners, however when running dozens campaigns, it become very time consuming. I make stats in the Excel file, and store banner image, its CTR, CR, etc. Again, what's your way of storing such stuff?

Thanks for your comments!

When it comes to naming, I prefer going with folders too. Especially per geo and/or language (depending on how you run). The name of the banner itself won't be too important at that point. Also, something very helpful is to have the date of creation for it somewhere. Because sometimes you wanna go to really old banners and try them again. You don't want last month old, you want like 1 year old.

As for keeping track of the banner stats, I don't think it's supposed to be simple when running dozens of campaigns honestly... It's very mechanical work though, so my first thought would be to hire an assistant to do that. You just have to come up with some rules of each banner going in a certain category and have the folder structure ready.
