I'm finding it hard to narrow down offers on networks using the CAKE platform, for some reason whenever I select the country I'm looking to target I get pages of offers that aren't even in the right GEO - am I missing something here or is it just a bad design ?
I can use the search field and put a country code in and that seems to work better but then I can't put a search term in like iphone etc at the same time.
Yea thats a typical issue with Cake and/or the way networks input their data. You would think they would have a more legit solution by now.
Instead, they keep using the same dinosaur platform with minor patches over the years and no real innovation.

Actually that is more a problem on how network inputs their offers I think, they just dont use the country field in the interface most of the time. So yeah, search by " - US" or " - IE" etc... is your only option.
But there's a reason they don't use the country field.. likely because it takes extra time to input that for each offer. So if they had an easier way to input/remove offer data using Cake's UI, networks would likely use it more.
Atleast, that is my theory. Networks are not using it.. but they aren't using it for a reason and it's like due to it not being a convienence.

sure, that's the software fault and not due to people laziness. ok.
I think the problem is somewhere in the middle, networks are lazy indeed or they don't want to waste hours by correcting the listings and putting correct country in - even categories are messed up in most. On the other hand, if cake had a solid import system in place, they most likely would use that
cake platform UI is quite useless, other than the country problem, for most offers we can't even see the offer details unless click the apply to run ..
the good thing about cake is it has a nice api , and you can see far more information if query using api, including all the offer details.
Well worth the few minutes it takes to cook up a small script
