Question about tracking RON on TrafficJunky

Hi all,

I'm running a campaign on TJ using RON traffic. On my tracker (Voluum) I have all the TJ tracking tokens set up. When I go in to Voluum to check my stats for specific tokens, like "Sitename" is one token by TJ, when I go check it on Voluum, the only thing that appears is "network". I don't see any names of sites like Pornhub, Redtube or whatever.

Do the sites names not appear on my tracker when a user clicks on a banner? Or does the site name only appear when a conversion occurs?

Here's a screenshot of what I'm seeing on Voluum.

I paused the campaign just in case I am making a mistake, don't want to spend more $$ if I'm doing something wrong.

Btw, I have the first letters of every token in capital letters, could that be a problem?

Let me know what you all think.

Thanks for the help.

Can you show me a screenshot of your TJ setup in Voluum?

I'm looking at our TJ campaigns now, there are some hits reported the same way as you describe, but only a part of them, not all. It depends on what sites give you traffic actually.

You should also consider tracking the zones.

This setup should be sufficient for you :

Can you expand on this? What are the "zones"?

Thanks for your help.

I meant the spots, some networks call it zones, some spots

Setup looks ok to me.

I think the tier3 RON is reported as network only, you either take that or not, so knowing the spot names wont really help you at all.

You're welcome

Just to make sure I didnt confuse you, just the tier3 ron doesnt pass spot/site names, the rest does so definitely use that parameter.

Thanks for clarifying, I thought you meant all RON sources didn't show spot/site names.

It seem kinda useless to not show spot/site names for tier 3 RON don't you think? Why would anyone run that source if they can't see which site brought in the conversions?

Anyway, appreciate your help.

The thing with that tier3 ron is - you either turn it on or you block it, there is no way to optimize it further. It's traffic they can't sell otherwise, so it goes for cheap. You don't need to see what site sent the hits actually, because there are no guarantees the traffic will be available the next day too ... basically, take it for what it's worth
