[FR] Anti-Virus 1-click = $2400
Hey guys!
Today I want to share with you one of my successful AV campaigns. As you can already know the main reason is not to give you a good offer+source. I write this to tell you some things you need to know.
So it begans with a letter from my AM in MundoMedia.

To be honest I prefer to choose offers by myself, but Darren always sends tons of good offers, so I read his letters.
Offers:
(51581) [WEB/WAP] Anti Virus - Mobprotector - Orange/Bouygues/SFR - France
(49044) [WAP] Download Virus Scanner - All Carriers 3G only - Click Flow - France (My manager recommended me him too, and he converts good).
Lander: I used my best FR lander for PINs for this offer, I just changed "Click the button and enter your phone number" to "Click the button and follow instructions on the next page"
So I created campaigns in these sources:
- Propellerads (CPA format)
- Clickadu
- Popcash
- Popads
- HillTopads
- One private source
It's a case when my campaign started to make a profit on the 1st day, without optimizations. But, of course, I did some things:
- Turned tablets off
- Turned iOS off
- Made a BL
After 10 passive days I got this result:
What conclusions can you draw from this campaign?
- Read your manager's letters. He can recommend you good offers, specially if you have a good relationship.
- If you have a good result in some sources - run all which you can! Don't spend a time.
- At the beginning try to run at least 2 sources, because each source have good and bad GEOs, 2 sources will give you a better image and understating.
- Each source gives you a different ROI, you need to understand that.
- Each source have different recommended bids.
- If you have a good offer you can run it on CPA model in sources which allow that.
- Make a balance with ROI and Profit. What do you prefer: 600% ROI and 30$profit/day or 100% ROI, but $200/day? You need to decide.
- Your good and tested lander can work for any offer in this vertical. For 1-clicks you have to use your own landers for POP-traffic, just make some changes (I wrote it).
- Don't be afraid of high bids. Sources always give better quality traffic for people who set higher bid. And it can be a situation when you have -50% ROI with $1 CPM and +150% ROI with $4 CPM.
- Try to create a campaign for each Carrier for 1-click offers and set different bids for each carrier, because it can be a situation when Carrier's X traffic cost $4 (recommend CPM), but Carrier's Y traffic = 10$. And:
- If you set 4$ CPM, you will receive the traffic from X carrier, but from Y you'll receive not so many traffic with not a good quality.
- If you set $10 CPM, you will receive a good traffic from each Carrier, but you can get a good quality from Y Carrier with 4$ CPM. So in this case it's a waste of money. - Always check your link on Google Chrome, because Google sometimes bans domains with aggressive landers. Just open the link in Chrome, and of it works correctly - it's ok. If Chrome write you that it's a phishing site - make a new domain and move all your landers to new domain.
- Chat with your source and ask about BIDs, because in my case one other person run this offer, and we played with bids a lot.
Good luck!

Very nice work! I remember trying to test this offer as well but was having trouble getting it up and running on my main traffic source. Definitely should have tested some more sources!

Great going man! It's still possible to make PINs rain even on POPs and your example just proves it

Thanks for this post MrBraun. I have a question...Do you think it's because it was a new offer that you quickly had some success with it? I only ask because I'm starting to think that the offers on all the top EPC lists are either tapped out or mobile users just get sick of seeing them? iamattila wrote a great blog post a while back and literally said..."my office we will launch 50 offers, find the best ones, scale it and milk it (in a week) – small affs will discover the best of these offers after we done volume and it appears on the top revenue report of CPA networks like ClickDealer, but chances are by then its too late."
Am I simply wasting my time & money on offers that are on the top lists? Surely some could still make some money but just a question that's been on my mind.

Hey! Yes, It was a good offer. In TOP lists often you can see offers which won't work good for you, but other people run a lot of traffic for them with good sources, landers, WLs etc... I prefer to ask my manager about EPC TOP, not a top by volume. And, of course, the best way - to test everything.

Wow! Yet another epic post by mrbraun! You're on fire lately!
The conclusions section is invaluable - especially tips on bidding on each carrier separately, and the importance of maximizing profits instead of ROI.
Thanks for all the tips!

Nice share. My favorite newsletters are [shameless plug] from my own network director ricky, who writes these ridiculously philosphical newsletters every week about our newest nutra products. Its kinda funny, i honestly get a kick out of them myself

Usually the top offers lists I get are by Revenue and not by volume. Although they have a column for EPC and CR the list is still based on revenue. I ask my AM and he said they never sort by EPC or CR because they haven't reached statistical significance. DO you not see that as an issue if going by EPC?

Yes, they always sort by revenue. Ask them about EPC of each offers and sort by yourself - the best way.
