A Prime Example of a BAD Landing Page! (4)

I just came across this banner while browsing around and I decided to click through out of pure affiliate curiosity (that's why I don't use AdBlock). Thought it's worth sharing so at least the newbies around here can learn what they are not supposed to be doing..



Which lead me to this poor excuse of a landing page:

The banner itself gets some bonus points for at least having some sort of an animation. The landing page however, gets 0 bonus points.

- The headline is in Bulgarian but it states the following: "The style is always with you" - What?

- No CTA.

- Nowhere on the page is it directly stated that this is actually some sort of a "premium" cigarette box. You need to figure this out by yourself by connecting the dots - it's mentioned that it is a "cigarette accessory" and then there's a bit that states something about a box, but nothing about a "cigarette box".

- Extremely blurry "hero" shot of their main product image. Very poorly cropped product images found down the page too.

- You actually cannot order this online, they're telling you to visit their stores. At least there are a few contact details left at the bottom of the page like a phone number and an email.

This is "amazing"

Sometimes I watch TV ads and pretty often I'm just starring at the TV, having a hard time to believe someone actually paid premium price for such bullshit to air. Ads where I have to think pretty hard to figure out what they try to promote ... are my favorites
