As a first time attendee of Affiliate World it would be great if myself and others could get some tips and ideas to make the best of the show.
I've been wanting to attend for a few years now and finally I'm here in Bangkok waiting to go. Looking forward to making some new friends and coming away with some great ideas to make the future soar.
Thanks in advance, Dean

Ok, two tips -
1) attend the talks, and take notes. The latter is really important.
The AWA team work really hard to make sure the speakers are top notch, and there's some pretty awesome info shared every time. If you don't take notes you WILL forget it.
Also, if you're interested in the topic, try to get to the morning talks. They're going to be highly focused - I know everyone who makes the effort to get up for them is really wanting to WORK so they're going to be pretty hardcore information fests.
2) Don't be afraid to talk to one person for an extended period if the conversation is interesting or useful. That's the biggest thing I've done on the last half decade to improve my networking. No-one remembers the person they talked to for 30 seconds, but if you have a twenty minute chat you can actually build a connection and start finding areas of mutual interest you can build on later.
The common networking mistake is to run around just trying to collect business cards. Don't do that. Make connections and learn what's important to people.
