Is prosper202/STM mobile tracker still ok for a noob? (4)

Hi,
I have to decide what tracking software I will use for my first campaign. I'm trying to save money to have more for traffic, so the contestants:

1, Adsbridge, they have a quite nice cheap plan for small time noobies like me, but I can easily upgrade if needed.
2, Old version of prosper/STM mobile tracker(they are basically the same, right?) with a sufficient unmanaged vps.
3, Voluum, if you can convince it's worth it.

Setting up an unmanaged vps is no biggie to me, I can handle that.

The question is: with adsbridge/Voluum, do you have that much advantage that it's worth paying for them when you are just starting out?

We have stopped updating the STM version of prosper since quite a while back, and the original prosper no longer has a free version.

So having said what I did above - I don't think free is even an option now. Question is, which tracker to get?

As for whether or not paying for a tracker would be worth it - the answer is YES in most cases. You can't optimize your camp without detailed stats. The exception is if you're planning on running on a traffic source that will show you very detailed stats - such as go2mobi. Even then, if you're wanting to segment traffic flow in any way, you'd need to use a tracker. It would just be a matter of time before you'd need to get one.

If in doubt, you can always sign up for a couple and try both for a month, then decide which one you like better.

If you can find an older version of Prosper202, it will serve your needs.

The last free version 1.9.30 was released in June or July of this year so it still very current.

Unfortunately at $299 a month, the cloud hosted saas version of P202 isn't yet an option for newbies.

But it's an amazing deal for more established marketers since it's a flat rate with no per click fees or overages.

Eventually there will be lower priced plans. For now there are other hosted tracking options that are more affordable.
