Calling all SEO ninjas, I'd like to see if anyone can answer this:
A few months ago I moved a site from http to https. It had thousands of pages indexed. Everything was done correctly, but a url pointing to a js file was accidentally disallowed in robots.txt during the process.
So when Google crawled the site, now in https, it couldn't crawl that file, so it got angry and slapped every page with Blocked Resources violations and refused to index any pages (the js file is used in every page).
This is of course understandable. I recently fixed this by removing the disallow and tested it in Search Console by doing a Fetch and resubmitted the sitemap.
Is there a way to make Google index the pages? Is it just a waiting game now? How long would it take? It's been 10 days and still nothing. It still shows all pages under Blocked Resources, even though if I 'fetch as google' any page it says Complete. There is technically no reason for it not to index now.
Thanks!
Go to konker.io and buy a basic press release for the site with something newsworthy.
Try to use a service that will get it in Google news and if theres no manual action it will get crawled again and re-indexed.
