The Mighty Voluum - how to make it work?
I want to send traffic to a landing page and from there to an offer from mpire. So i setup zeropark as new traffic source, added mpire as a new affiliate network, setup the offer (setup a global postback url with my AM), built the landing page, setup it in Voluum, and finally setup the campaign.
Strange thing is when i click on links/banners from landing page, it doesn't go to official offer page, but does a redirect and i land on the same landing page url but with different parameters. What might be wrong? I guess all posts about how to setup Voluum from CharlesNgo and IamAttila are outdated as it seems voluum work a bit different now.
Thank you

First of all - are you using a VPN?
I would try navigating directly to the aff link first to see whether I can get to the offer that way.
Also - were you browsing directly to the lander url and clicking on the outgoing link? That won't work. You need to browse to the Voluum campaign url instead.
Lastly - which url did you put as the outgoing link on your lander? It needs to be the Voluum click url, not your aff link.
Please let me know if you've confirmed all of the above - and we'll look into it further.

Hey mate, I'm in chaing mai tomorrow for the weekend. I'll walk you through it in person
I think Amy is right though, Mpire is probably redirecting you based on your Thailand location to another offer

I've also had issues with network redirects. They are set on as default, so you have to ask the AM to turn it off, at least when you wanna test.
There's also usually a preview link that allows you to bypass the redirect, and shows you the real page.
And if you are doing this just to test conversions, you can also talk to your AM and see if they can fire test conversions manually for you.

Hey Lucien,
It looks like you don't have the right link on your landing page.
It should be whatever you have set up in this area in below picture.
And this link is going to measure the CTR from lander to the actual offer.
When you preview the offer link within Voluum does it take you to the right place? If not then the problem lies with the network/advertiser to echo the maestro's above.

As it's my first campaign, i will try to choose another offer, eventually a desktop one which i can access directly in order to make this work and to understand Voluum flow and setting tricks.

Ah! A carrier offer!
First of all, you can't browse directly to the lander and click on the outgoing link - the voluum click url will not know where to redirect you. You'll need to browse to the voluum campaign link instead (although in this case, you won't see the offer properly anyways, since it's a carrier offer; but your visitors should see the right offer).
When I run carrier offers, I don't even check whether the link is working - I just run traffic on blind faith that the link will work.
What you can do to make sure, is run a bit of traffic to the voluum campaign link (targeting the accepted carrier of course), then check aff network stats to see whether the clicks are being recorded under the correct offer.
Other than that - I'm sure Nick will get you sorted.

Good luck!

If it's your first campaign, then yes - picking an offer that doesn't just accept carrier traffic would be a great idea!

Im back to you guys as i still have a problem with mighty Voluum, mpire and wwwpromoter.
So, what i did until now:
1. Added wwwpromoter as traffic source, setup Impression tracking ON, so i can get automatically price for traffic updated in Voluum ( https://i.gyazo.com/fb75ca0a9226edf8...f74a9d3ee8.png )
-i didnt setup Postback URL and Pixel redirect URL to be ON as i dont want to send any conversions back to traffic source (i want to have everything under voluum)
-the Advanced settings for wwwpromoter are by default (they automatically completed when i choosen wwwpromoter template) https://i.gyazo.com/2787c6917efd1968...82f7bc3396.png
2. Added Mpire as aff network
- here i setup ONLY Append click ID to offer URLs to be ON
- i asked my AM to setup global Postback url inside mpire account like this: http://k***e.voluumtr**.com/postback?cid={aff_click_id}&payout={payout}&txid={ step} so Mpire can fire back details about conversions
3. Setup mpire offer in voluum like this:
-http://t.mpire.nxus.mobi/?aid=706**6&cid=100***9&aff_click_id={clickid}&cid ={cid} and payout completed manually in vollum. ( Isn't there a problem as CID is listed 2 times in campaign url - first its campaign ID number, and then it's cid={cid} )
5. Created a landing page
-CTA button url is same as my voluum Click URL http://track.mydomain.com/click
6. Created a campaign using the offer, lander and traffic source which i setup before.
PROBLEMS:
1. if i visit the offer directly, i get redirected to offer page, but if i use voluum link and click on CTA button from lander, i get error: The campaign ID is missing
2. after i created the campaign in voluum, i got an Impression pixel URL. What should i do with this pixel url?
3. Is there anything i should setup in traffic source account beside campaign to get traffic to lander using Campaign URL from voluum?
Thank you in advance
(P.S: im still in Chiang Mai, but Nick and I, we couldn't meet it last time)

Question regarding my previous post in this thread: is it more convenient to setup campaigns using traffic source without Impression tracking ON, so no Impression pixel URL involved and to manually update cost for each campaign? I see its a pain in the ass to setup Voluum...pffff

Hi lucien,
Could you please PM me, so we could take a closer look at your setup? It seems that the offer URL was not configured properly. You have added the 'cid' 2 times in the offer URL and because of that, your affiliate network can't redirect the visitor to the offer properly (the first cid, which is an affiliate network campaign id, is needed for the right redirection). You have to remove the second 'cid' and use the different parameter instead (check the documentation to know all parameters Mphire supports).
Best,
Wioleta Duda / Voluum Support

Hi Lucien - could you please take a screenshot of Mpire's postback url tokens? They should be listed within your Mpire account, beside the field where you paste in the postback url.
I just want to quickly verify that you're using the correct token to pass the clickid.
Like Wioleta and you have both noticed, the second cid token in your offer link is unnecessary and should be deleted. Other than that, everything else looks correct.
One more thing: I haven't used impression tracking myself. Wondering if there's a potential conflict there?

Amy, I dont have any postback url tokens listing in Mpire, global postback url was setup by my AM. Now all campaigns are working fine, but the only problem is costs do not show.
From what i understand, if i setup impression tracking ON, traffic costs for every wwwpromoter campaign would update automatically. But i dont know how and where to implement that impression pixel url which appear when i create the campaign.

Glad to hear conversion postback is working!
I've never implemented impression pixel tracking before. Perhaps try getting in touch with wwwpromoter? You can find some skype contacts here:

Best of luck!

Under Campaign > Edit Campaign, do you have "Do not track costs" checked ?
Would somebody mind explaining this setting ? I am running CPM & I've been going to my traffic sources every day to see what the ad spend was for the previous day, then going back to
Voluum & manually entering the cost for each campaign under "Update cost". I am assuming
Voluum does not know how to correctly account for the costs because they don't know the exact # of ad impressions ? This routine is time consuming & I never look forward to it...
Is this what could be solved by impression pixel tracking ?

As far as i've heard, yes, impression pixel tracking should solve the problem, but only if traffic sources accept this. Unfortunately wwwpromoter do not accept this pixel setup.

Got you. So it still looks like manual cost updates in Voluum for certain traffic sources... Thank you.
