Running click to call campaigns on Facebook

The click to call feature seems like it would be excellent for call campaigns. Has anyone had success with it? I've been paying for a lot of impressions but no calls so far.

You may wanna split test multiple images / angles to see better results. How much have you spent? What's the offer payout?

I've spent about $8, I know it's too little to start complaining but the payout is from $5 to $10. These are travel calls. I'll hunt around here for a few angles on travel that work well. (Angles on Travel could be someone's hot free e-book). I'll split test some creatives of smiling people in comfortable flights vs specific locations (like cool shots of italy or france).

Let's recap first mate. Spend 8 dollar;
- how many impressions?
- how many clicks?

No conversions for 8 dollar doesn't say anything. If you are paying 1 dollar/click it's normal you don't have any conversions yet.
If you have 1000 clicks and no conversions -> look for another offer (or optimize funnel).
If you have 10.000 impressions and 10 clicks, optimize your landers.

So much going on here what could be the reason for "not succeeding".

You're right, i should give some more info:

I'm running click to call for a travel campaign:
Results: 2,980 impressions.
Cost: $2.10 per 1,000 impressions
Reach: 2,974
Clicks: 1 (I think the person just liked the post or something, no raw call is recorded)
Acg cpc: $6.25
CTR: 0.034%
Spend: $6.25

My ad copy:
Save up to 30% off your next flight from California when you call us today. Very quick and easy booking. Give us a call now, toll-free!

I'm running the campaign right now as it was to $20, hopefully I can at least get info.

Keep on testing. Its too early to say whether its working or not. There are not enough impressions nor clicks - just 1 - to draw any meaningful conclusions.

Yup as others say above - you def need to spend MORE!

It all boils down to your mindset: You aren't losing money here - you're collecting data so you can make better decisions to work on different parts of the campaign so it turns into the green. Keep on testing!!

Hello, Does this mean that literally ANY campaign can become profitable, It just depends on what you do with the data? For example, Say i have a campaign with 2 ad sets and I have tested for 3 days on a budget of %10 a day, I have no conversions on either ad set, BUT I find i have all my engagement (CTR 7%)from ages 25-35 women, Can I then get this campaign to the green with that data? HOW? I hope i understood you correctly

Not necessarily... sometimes you can never get it to work profitably.

But once you see what demos have the best CTRs and conversions then yes you can at least improve your ROI.

What kind of keyword/audience targeting are you doing?

I was doing a biz opp cpa offer, It didnt work and I cut it after 3 days with low conversions, But judging from this thread i should have taken the highest demo's CTR and took a chance, What struck me about what the young lady was saying is its not actually "taking a chance' its sounding like the data will dictate where the interest is, so I should have went, The offer was biz opp and I figured it was only a matter of time before FB shuts it down anyway, So it wasnt worth taking a chance to getting banned. I'm trying to find verticals that I can promote on FB without having to worry about all of that now (as far as getting ads approved), Since I joined here I found Diabetes and Parenting offers are whitehat, but would you know if there is like a list that exist within the forum of verticals (whitehat) that FB allows? Affiliate or CPA?

no list that i know of for approval verticals, but ones that you generally can't run by direct linking/white hat would be gift cards/email submits, sweeps, health/beauty/diet. Basically if the user has to do a bunch of steps to get something or subscribe to something good chance (though not 100%) that FB won't approve it.

Lead gen stuff is an area that FB is fine with that people can do well. Also of course true product sales of course can do very well.
