CPV Lab Domain

Just purchased CPV lab (Yeah)

I want to get a domain name now (namecheap) and then contact beyondhosting and get this thing moving.

For the domain name do I need anything special. I did some searching and it looks like I may want an ssl cert?

Thanks. Contacting Lead impact after I get this wrapped.

Nothing special for domain. Just pick one and get ssl cert and you should be set.

get the cheapest domain possible. These tracker domains are throwaway domains as you probably wanna swap them out every 3 months or so if you start to do serious volume.

you do need ssl to serve https:// pixels which some of the cpa networks require.

Also with the SSL certificate you can get this at beyondhosting and they'll set it all up for you.

Grab a domain through namecheap, SSL cert is only a couple of dollars that way. Really easy to set up in your hosting after that.

Whois guard is also free for the first year.

No need to pay for domains since .tk can be got for free at http://dot.tk

eg: godaddysucks.tk

I'm picking on GoDaddy because they actually charge for these free domains, sheesh.

godaddy definitely sucks, namecheap all the way. Also, for your domain, remember people may see the name of it when they go to click it in your links.. name it something innocent sounding.. Also I have never had an SSL and as far as I can tell never needed it.

Yup namecheap FTW!

Get your domain + PostiveSSL + Whois.

Then contact Beyond Hosting to get SSL signing cert. for the domain you wish to use for tracking.
Then copy and paste that into My Account > SSL Certificate - CSR
Digital Certificate Order Form page. Webserver - choose cpanel (you should have this if using BH).

Then just follow the steps. Wait for the zip file. Once received in your email than upload that zip file
in Beyond Hosting Support portal. Have them install it and your all John Gravy.

the reason to why tracking url is because of potential spies?
