Tip 2: Have lunch/dinner/coffee with your top 5 connections in the industry
It’s not often that you have almost everyone in one place in such an industry. The days before the event are when you should have meetings with your best connections. If you don’t have at least 5 friends you can have valuable talks with, and would be willing to meet you, it means you are doing something wrong. Although the after-parties are fun, they are not the place where the most valuable information is exchanged. You are also surrounded by tons of other people. There’s plenty more information shared in a small group where everyone knows each other well compared to a big group where there are many new people.


Tip 3: Develop your EXISTING business relationships
Have 1 on 1 meetings with your account managers. The exhibition area really is for new accounts. Existing partners should have 1 on 1 meetings and discuss specific steps in their collaboration. Hit up your main traffic sources, affiliate networks and setup meetings. PREPARE for those meetings, have a written agenda for yourself, so you know what you want to achieve. You will get much higher ROI out of developing an already existing relationship than you will from going after the “shiny object” which is the next affiliate network or traffic source with the best offers, highest quality traffic, glitter, nyan cats, unicorns, and everything you can think of.
