How work as a team? Advice needed!

Hello stackers,

Me and my partner are going to test a new geo and I wanna to ask your advice, because most of the previous tries was unsuccessful and, maybe, you can tell us a better way of doing things.

Traffic: POP
Vertical: AV (Pin-submit)
So there are around 20 offers on that geo and it's pritty hot right now.

Questions:

1. Should we devide landers and offers or test exectly the same for a bigger amount of information?
2. How many offers/landers should we test? Is it better to take for example 10 offers and 1 lander or 3-5 landers and 3-5 offers?
3. What budget to spend on 1 testing cycle (1 day), considering that average payout is $3?
4. Should we start A/B testing of lenders immediately after figuring out the best performing one? Or it is better to optimize other parameters and get back to a/b testing on the 3-4 day?
5. How to allocate bids between both of us if we are going to test 1 traffic source?

I tend to think it is better to use exactly the same settings for both of us, to gather more data faster. But I'm afraid that we can loose other offers that might perform better.
However, we are going to pick the best performing offers according adplexity and the possibility of that offers, I guess, is much higher than picking every offer one by one from aff network.

Thank you in advance!
Best!

Are you partnering up or just masterminding? That is the question after which I can give more input on what I think is best

Hey sc2alone,

Since you are using POP traffic, which is relatively cheaper then others, i would suggest asking your affiliate manager for the top 5 performing ones and then test those with multiple landing pages. If you are able to at least break even and gather data on what worked and what did not work then that is the most important part. I am not sure what you and your partners budget looks like but i would send some good volume, seeing affiliates send 10 clicks to a campaigns is not a test and will never get you anything out of it but wasting your time and money.

In terms of allocating bids between the both of you, i would split up a demographic you want to target and even mix a little bit of it together because at the end one might have half of the working demographic and the other could have the other half so by mixing it around it would help get the ideal mix for what you are promoting.

Do you use any tracking software? If not, i would HIGHLY suggest doing so, since it will help you out with where to spend your money once you gather enough data.

Hope this helps,

We are working together for the same goal. I mean we launch same campaigns and comparing them for a better results.

Alright, then you should split the workload and be 100% transparent with your campaigns. You basically are working together to get a profitable campaigns. That means that it's best to split geos or traffic source, or maybe angles that you are testing out.

I recommend against running campaigns on the same traffic source, in the same geo AND in the same vertical in a mastermind. Masterminds are made to give its members the ability to cast a bigger net at a lower cost, meaning you wanna test more sources or geos.
