OVH VPS hosting, good for hosting pops and banner landers? Speed, etc

Like the question state, I am using OVH's VPS to host my websites right now, is it a good one in terms of speed of loading and stuff? I am planning on hosting landers on this VPS for mobile advertising.

Thanks!

I heard good things about OVH from a friend of mine who is using them more for a SEO related business.

I not see why it would be good for mobile advertising, only thing that could cause "problems" is the location of the servers - make sure your datacenter is close to the country where you plan to run traffic.
Alternatively you just can go with CDN, which may be even cheaper and performance wise better (I recommend to do a split test).

I assume you mean you heard good things about OVH? Because we are on STM currently

I have heard about CDN but don't I need to have a server still? to host my lander on first, then the CDN to deliver those files.

Or I can simply use a CDN and not use any VPS/hosting etc for landers....

Yes I meant OVH, edit my post already :-D

Depends, for example Rackspace lets you to host your files on service called CloudFiles and also pushes them to CDN edge servers. So no need for additional server.

That's great news Erik! I just want to clarify, we are saying CDN aids in delivering speed of the files, but I definitely still need a VPS to host the domains etc.

Thank you for your help so far!

You just point your domains (CNAME) to your CDN and it's done. There are even some tutorials on STM about setting up CDN.

OVH is good, but don't try to host agressive landers like Virus, ... etc

Same for adult, avoid using them as they require a disclaimer (+18 Y/N) or they will shoot your server.
Otherwise, I've used them for 10+ years and I think it's a good service.
