Want to run a quick test on some PPV banners to see which ones would perform better in terms of just CPC so was wondering which has less bot traffic (since its hard for me totally gauge bot traffic) and I would probably want to focus on one segment first. The test is likely to be on exoclick or plugrush as I'm trying to get traffic to my own adult website.

There seems to be less bots in mobile, based on my experience. Part of if has to do with the fact that I see generally less bots in carrier traffic compared to WIFI. Desktop VS wifi mobile alone, the difference is not so big.
On exo, you can avoid a lot of bot placements by targeting the premium ones, RON is a different story thou. Plugrush is something different, tons of bot placements there - you will see tons and tons of sites that are built just for plugrush, with high % of BOTs. They look very similar, so you can actually learn how to spot them, but since there are 1000s of sites, it might be better to simply optimize based on poor performance or get some BOT detection solution.
