Hey!

The 1st question: Do you know HTML/CSS?

You just need a good software for it, or you don't know how to edit a code?

Like mrbraun said above, please be more specific about what it is you're needing help with.

This thread has a few tips on how to fix up a ripped lander:

You WILL need to know some coding to do this. Let me know if you need to learn how to code and I'll provide some resources.

Hi,
I'm also joining this thread.
I feel lost after downloading the pages from adplexity. How can I edit them to my needs?
Would be great to get some information on this.
Like what is the best software to use?
How can I identify bad code or how to know where to paste the links etc.
I have no knowledge in HTML or css.
I did some HTML webpages a while back when I was 15 yo. It was 15 years ago so obviously a lot has changed 😀

Unfortunately HTML is a big topic - a bit beyond what we can cover in a forum reply!

You can learn the basics of HTML at CodeAcademy, and that's probably the best way to go: https://www.codecademy.com/learn/web . It should only take you a few hours to pick up enough to start editing landers.

In terms of software: you can either go with a graphical editor like Adobe Muse (which may be a bit limited) or you can go with a code-level editor - Visual Studio Code is probably the best one there. Graphical editors are easy to use, code-level editors are more precise and powerful. If you're looking to clean existing landers, code-level editors are what you need.

Just chiming in with some more resources! I think the second chapter of "The Odin Project" does a great job teaching a well rounded approach to the basics. It uses resources such as CodeAcademy, CodeSchool, and others, in addition to its own content to provide a structured curriculum and path to follow. The Odin Project is basically a free, open-sourced bootcamp curriculum.

(Note: for the context of cleaning landers & basic html/css/js, just check out the chapter I linked to. You can work through it in a weekend or two, I bet. The entire course would 4-6+ months and distract you aff marketing :P That being said, if anyone else reading this wants to learn more about building web apps and more complicated stuff (automation tools? web scrapers? custom dashboards?) I'd highly recommend checking out the other chapters. )

Edit: oops, posted a link to the first chapter, not the second as intended. Fixed!
