Best LP Headlines - Multivariate testing (Funnel Flux)

With the last update Funnel Flux introduced a new great feature that i was waiting for ages - the multivariate testing on landing pages, and until now no other tracking system has this feature.

What is Multivariate Testing?
Multivariate testing gives you the opportunity to test different variations (of headlines, images, call to action buttons, etc) inside a landing page. And yes you can create a landing page for each variation, but with the increasing numbers of things to test we will have an exponential increment in the number of LPs we need to create.

I had a profitable sweepstake (win iphone 7) campaign running in pop traffic, and i was promoting that with a “spin the roulette, with a pop-up” landing page. I had a ROI around 7%, so i decided to try some different variations with the message on the pop-up without the need to create other LPs, since i have the multivariate testing in my Funnel Flux Installation.

I decided to try three different pop-up messages:

  1. Congratulations, Your Device Has Been Selected To Win The New iPhone 7!
  2. Congrats! You May Win a New iPhone 7!
  3. Brand New iPhone 7 Anyone?

24h later: After the first 24 hours just one of the headlines performed better than the old one. To select the best performing headline i can use the new Funnel Flux integrated statistical significance calculator to quickly find the winning variations!

In this case i had just three headlines, and it was simple to choose the best one, but with the help of integrated statistical significance calculator you can test every combination you need, merge them together and have the best LP.

The best headline was “Congrats! You May Win a Brand New iPhone 7!", with a 20.1% CTR and 2.97 CVR. Also was the only one with a positive ROI of 14,8%. Also we have to keep in mind that on this campaign wasn’t done any optimization at all.
