Our Hard Work is being copied !!

Hello guys

i am doing mobile pops . i am spending countless hours developing a good landing pages that convert

and after few hours from launching any of my campaigns i see my landing pages is being copied instantly and used by a bunch of affiliates

i am looking for any ways to block those spy tools that waste my work and time. i really got tired from seeing my hard work is being stolen by those lazy guys

any tool or service to block the spy tools from seeing my landers ???????

how you deal with this issue guys ??

I think a few people like kepe95 have tried to develop one, but honestly, I think most people just accept that there is not much that can be done about this due to both spytools like www.adplexity.com or just manual browsing of ads.

You can try putting in some obfuscated code into your lander to redirect traffic for those copiers who are too lazy to even look into the code.

Welcome to the game!

I come from a creative background. When I started out I was putting a huge amount of effort into design new landers, I felt that was my big edge. But just like you're experiencing, my landers would get ripped within a matter of hours. It made me pissed! So I then put in a lot of effort to try to defend my masterpieces against getting ripped. Still they would get ripped within a matter of hours.

You cannot protect your landers against everyone. If someone wants to find it, they will, and once they do then people will find theirs etc etc.

Sorry to say but your time is better spent finding an edge elsewhere, or just focusing on your current campaigns.

I don't know of a solution to block AdPlexity that you can use either.

Being so negative and calling people who rip landers lazy is very counter productive for you though. If you truly think people who rip landers are lazy, you are in for a bad surprise. The ones who make money after ripping landers have worked hard on getting an edge somewhere else, and are pushing forward with those edges

If being creative is your main skill, you might want to consider other traffic sources, that are less transparent than pops, or just running pops with the knowledge that some people will rip your landers but you still benefit from your creativity til your new lander is used by everyone. Heck, even then you might be performing better than with something else... Just that others are also enjoying the fruits of your labour.

It's a jungle out there, don't expect things to be what you consider fair

You're better of protecting the LP combining creativity and coding skills. Given all LPs are viewable HTML ( + css, js ) that kinda says it all.
To make matters even worse, on mobile pops you need speed like crazy meaning you can't rely on server side protection since that slows
things down quite a bit.

When I say creatively using coding techniques I mean very accurately triggering your rules based on specific events ( open, close, console.open, console.close etc )

Obfuscation and packing will most likely take care of 90% of your competition. Doing some interesting .htaccess bot filtering will take care of most bots and
crawlers, disabling wget calls or cURL calls to your domain, as well ( even though if a CDN is in place - which you want - it won't help )

It is almost a losing battle but you'd better be at 80-90% than 0 my 2c. However -> you need proper coding skills ( like very proper )
since creativity is born out of knowledge of the environment you are running on ( browsers )

Cheers

Yes, the spy tools are just too good, no way to block them without significant click loss, even then it's not 100% reliable. We looked into this in detail for months.

Some cloakers have an "Adplexity block" option, but I have not tested it myself and can't say how reliable it is, also there'll be the clickloss + extra costs.

Things like hidden codes to redirect traffic are worth it if you run bigger volumes and you'll end up getting some noticeable free traffic from thieves.

On pops this rip n run game will always be there, if you go to traffic sources like Facebook there'll be a lot less worrying about this - but the traffic sources itself is what will make you worry

STM probably isn't the best place to moan about this, just take a look at the logos in the header next time you login...

Adplexity
"Every landing page can be downloaded straight off our user interface (with full page dependencies - images, javascript, ..)"

Funnel Flux
"Found a competitor's page you want to test? No need to copy their lander, remove their tracking and upload on your server."

As everyone here has said, no point in worrying about it becuase eventually your creatives will be found one way or another.

But with enough research, you can find ways to block certain spy tools with almost no clickloss - fully tested. Atleast presently.

Dont fight against things you cannot control. Your landers will get ripped no matter what, within a matter of days if youre lucky and hours if youre unlucky. Try to get your edge somewhere else and scale up fast. All campaigns die out sooner or later so the big money is to be made rather sooner than later.

If you can't beat them, join them and steal a % of their traffic using a secretly embedded js code.
